Hey peeps, what it do? it's been a while..i know.who knew i would ever be so busy?
My humanities class has recently got me pondering, thinking, and rehashing. I've established that indeed the idea of Dharma is true, my questions now drift to the issue of fulfilling my Dharma. I've begun questioning myself, does fulfilling my Dharma hold any rewards in the long run (thinking selfish? let me be), why should I subscribe to the concept? Let me elucidate, Dharma is both a Hindu and Buddhist doctrine literally meaning duty. The Concept of Dharma is plainly defined as fulfilling one's duty without looking to end results. Generally, our natural human instincts are to perform an action because there is a reward, as Newton's law succinctly states "to every action there is an equal reaction". My point is performing my duty and fulfilling Dharma means ultimately that I am not expecting or looking to the results which is virtually impossicant (impossible and cannot be). Nearly everything we do is because we are anticipating an end result, we get an education because we want the end result-a job that pays (most people at least), and we eat to fill up our bellies (end result) and avoid hunger. But then again, looking at Dharma from another perspective shows that it is beneficial in the long run. If I as a student focus and concentrate all my abilities on being the best student that i can be, in the long run even though i am not looking to the end results i still achieve them or in the case of an employee doing his best, if he is really fulfilling his duty, in the long run, expectant or non expectant, he is rewarded. So Dharma or no Dharma, what do u reckon? BTW..small tori..my babe has all of a sudden gotten the idea that she speak *fune* imag imagine! Mehn, this babe be spitting akatarized (african-american, no derogation meant) lyrics oh! ok nah, so on Sunday like dis o, gettn ready to go to church na so dis babe wan say "what r u talkn abt" only for 'im to come hala strong conc akatarisms(african american *noun*) " *wa* u talkn abt" i was like ehn? *wa*? don't try!.
